CREATING POTABLE WATER – FIELD TRIAL FOR U.S. MILITARY OPERATIONS
Engaged by retired DOD Senior Military Procurement Officers, AMFS conducted a field trial to filter from a water source contaminated with bacteria, algae, and other contaminants. AMFS was able to remove the contaminates measured as total suspended solids (TSS) and total dissolved solids (TDS). AMFS processed the water at a low-pressure of 100 psi gauge, yielding a flow rate of 175 gallons per minute (gpm).
- Far left is a water sample taken before the AMFS filtration process. Although the water looks fairly clear, it is laden with TSS and TDS.
- Middle jar is a sample of the contaminated effluent of the total dissolved solids TDS that were removed during the filtration process from the pond water.
- Far right is the potable effluent after it was processed through the AMFS mobile filtration unit, resulting in <20 ug/L (ppm)TDS and ND TSS.
