Those liquids may include, but are not limited to, contaminated waste water, oil contact water, slag pit standing water, pipeline and tank terminal condensate, sludge, lead contaminated water, and frac water. HOW AMFS TECHNOLOGY WORKS
Membranes
Our system is one of the most advanced in the world and – by all accounts – the most advanced mobile system in commercial use.
Unlike conventional spiral-wound filters, our system employs patented membrane separation technology. It is best suited for processing slop water, cross-flow filtration, dead-end filtration and dissolved-air flotation-rejection flows, where maximum fluid recovery is essential to minimize disposal costs.
The waste volume reduction membranes process liquid waste in a small-footprint configuration. The AMFS System treats fluids as high as 50% v/v and assists in the maximum recovery of fluids, drastically reducing disposal volumes.
Because vibration keep the membranes from fouling, instead of flowing fluid across them, flow rates are not as critical to the AMFS process. Its capacity to remove the smallest entrained solids is reflected in routine delivery of comparatively clean permeate.


Good Vibrations Make AMFS Unique
Our unique vibration technology is at the core of the AMFS System. Its flexible design allows installation of different membrane sizes, ranging from micro-filtration, ultra-filtration, Nano-filtration to reverse osmosis. This suits it to a wide range of operating environments. It also employs surface — rather than depth — filtration when membrane cleaning is required.

Advanced Mobile Filtration Services LLC (AMFS) recently completed a 3,000 gallon field trial in Clarksville, FL, USA for an undisclosed client to remove per- and polyfluoralkyl substances (PFAS) from a highly-contaminated water source that was derived from aqueous film forming foams (AFFF), which are water-based and frequently contain hydrocarbonbased surfactants.
PFAS were previously referred to as perfluorochemicals (PFCs). PFAS are a group of chemicals used to make fluoropolymer coatings and products that resist heat, oil, stains, grease, and water. Fluoropolymer coatings can be used in such varied products as clothing, furniture, adhesives, food packaging, heat-resistant non-stick cooking surfaces, and the insulation of electrical wire.
